The project on Ch. du Roilbot is located at the end of a charming lane, surrounded by a mix of houses and lush vegetation, giving it a tranquil atmosphere. The challenge presented by the project was to design a large villa for a family and grandmother on a small plot, all while adhering to a very tight budget.
The decision to use raw concrete for the exterior structure was the only option that fit within the budget. While it inevitably touches on current ecological concerns, it avoids any form of greenwashing. The compact spans, structural simplicity, and minimalist construction approach all contribute to significant savings, without drawing attention to them. Spatial innovation is achieved through the fragmentation of the available volume. This cascading arrangement enhances the sense of space by offering diagonal views that connect the series of rooms.
