The project is located in the hamlet of Carre D'Amont, within the commune of Meinier. The 177 m² plot consists of two buildings: a dwelling house and an outbuilding, a former cattle barn that was previously used as a warehouse and technical room.
The goal of the project is to repurpose the original barn’s volume to create the house's living areas (lounge, kitchen, and dining room), while renovating the existing house, which will retain its bedrooms and bathrooms.
The conversion of the annex into living space, while preserving its original volume, reflects a thoughtful approach aimed at maintaining its architectural character and ensuring its seamless integration into the surrounding buildings. The objective is to revitalize the annex by enhancing the quality of both the interior and exterior living spaces of the house.
